Dear friend,

Welcome to 2009 year! The most challenges year to start with people are busy on comment economics uncertainty. This is globe problem, and we as end user can feel the heat starting from high in price oil. When the oil price slump, the world facing economic crisis, start-up by Enron scandal and followed by giant firms fallen in USA. To absorb the pressure, the USA Government need to bailout its economy in whole, include to refinancing their giant firms in billion dollar. And the world is welcoming Mr Barrack Obama to lead the biggest economy in the world. When the USA likely injured, the economic chain share the pain.

Local firm - oh yes, they also hit by the strong current. Slow in business, basic price of consumer goods still in ceiling high, and look like the government trying to find as many excuses to save their department. And to parents worry, the amongst bigger world chip maker, formerly known as KOMAG of Kuching will be shutdown in March 2009. The reason is simple, most of its product exported to USA or sell to USA firms. When these companies reduce their operation capacity (to reduce the cost) the chip maker will be the victim. And as solution, they should see India and China as their product saver and next market. Thousand of SMI firms in China are potential chip buyer. At the end, the winner will be the voter. But life must goes on!

Other exports include crude oil, timber, pepper, cocoa bean, oil palm, rubber, gold, coal, silical sand, handicraft, agricultural produce and fertilisers.
